Due diligence

On a case-by-case basis, the Inside ALPHA team has provided external individuals and companies with quality due diligence work. The main problem with due diligence is this: the rest of the market has about 3% (one in 33) of the companies reviewed which get a "sell" rating.

In our world, out of 33 companies, we will probably find eleven undervalued ones, eleven which are properly priced and eleven overvalued ones. Since inception, half of our investment decisions were targeting overvalued companies, the other half undervalued ones, and we did not address the rest, which seemed fairly valued.

For this reason, people who own large stakes in listed companies and have doubts about their future potential, often turn to us for an honest analysis.

Most customers wish the assignment to remain confidential; however, in some cases, our research is available to the public. For example, in 2007 we reviewed the entities present at a base metals investment conference in Geneva and Zürich, an energy investing event in Geneva and Zürich as well as a gold investment conference in Geneva and Zürich.
